Chapter President David Carpenter, RPT, filled our opening meeting with an evening dedicated to the hottest, smartest and most "human" of the elctronic tuning devices, the Verituner, which as it happens, he invented and builds in his bedroom, or garage, or whatever.  The Verituner goes well beyond the scope of any other tuning device out there, and allows the real-world aural tuner to do spectacular tunings each and every time.  Dave led us on an interactive tour of the Verituner using video and a few of his cusomers brought theirs so it was show-and-tell time.  He demonstrated pitch raising, custom aural-style tunings, real-time specturm analysis and other remarkable and unique features of the Verituner.  He is also knowledgeable about the other devices out there, and answered many questions about them all.  He is a fair minded and well-informed source for anything you might want to know on anything related to tuning.  It is truly an honor to have David Carpenter in Chicago, and we of Chicago PTG are very proud of him, indeed.
